As i was playing some old songs this morning i came across this one i would like to share with you..

Till the Storm Passes By

In the dark of the midnight have I oft hid my face,
While the storm howl above me, and there's no hiding place.
'Mid the crash of the thunder, Precious Lord, hear my cry,
Keep me safe till the storm passes by.

Till the storm passes over, till the thunder sounds no more,
Till the clouds roll forever from the sky;
Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand,
Keep me safe till the storm passes by.

Many times Satan whispered, "There is no need to try,
For there's no end of sorrow, there's no hope by and by"
But I know Thou art with me, and tomorrow I'll rise
Where the storms never darken the skies.

Till the storm passes over, till the thunder sounds no more,
Till the clouds roll forever from the sky;
Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand,
Keep me safe till the storm passes by.

When the long night has ended and the storms come no more,
Let me stand in Thy presence on the bright peaceful shore;
In that land where the tempest, never comes, Lord, may I
Dwell with Thee when the storm passes by.

Till the storm passes over, till the thunder sounds no more,
Till the clouds roll forever from the sky;
Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand,
Keep me safe till the storm passes by.

"Why art thou cast down, oh my soul ? and why art thou disquited in me ? hope thou in God"-- Psa. 42:5 KJV.

C. H. Spurgeon once wrote," The path of the Christian is not always bright with sunshine; he has his seasons of darkness and of storm.

True, it is written in God's word, "Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace." But my 75 years of experience tells me that if the course of the just is as a shining light, yet sometimes that light is covered by clouds and storms of life and he walks in darkness and can't see the light.
'
There are many who have rejoiced in the presence of God for awhile, they have basked in the sunshine in the early part of their Christian life.. yes they have walked along the green pastures, and by the still waters, then all at once the sky is clouded and the storms approaches, and dear friends they will come , and then they say, surely if i were a child of God, this wouldn't have happened.

But not to worry because the best of God's saints must go through the storms and bear the cross.. perhaps God at first gave you a smooth and unclouded path, because you were weak and timid; but now that you are stronger spiritually you must go through the rougher experiences of God's fully matured children..we need the winds and the tempests to exercise our faith to tear off our self dependence, and to root
us more firmly in Christ..
these stormy days should show us the value of our glorious hope!

have a great day and tell someone about Jesus!
Just an ole sinner saved by grace

Motor, thanks for that reminder.  Seems like lately I've been more focused on the storm than the Savior.  Thanks for reminding me where to keep my focus.
