opinions and reasons for double action or single action
i am in the market for a new revolver. mostly just shooting but also hunting deer. i want an uncommon caliber. large. i have been looking at smith, magnum research, ruger, and taurus. taurus would be limited to the 500 s&w. bfr has many options but i favor 500, 460, or even 475 linebaugh. ruger has 454 or 480. my big question is which makes the best hunter. single action or double action. i have a redhawk 44mag but never shoot double action with it. hopefully i can get some good input. does the single action frame differ enough to alter perceived recoil. bfr states their large hand cannons recoil less than other double actions in smaller calibers.
