I am trying to find out how to cure eel for bait use. Down in Austrlia cured eel is a top bait to use for catching gummy sharks, and i need to know how to make cured eel? I have the ability to catch eels, however i dont know how to cure it? Is it a salting process/freezing process??? Can anyone help me in this regard... Maybe a similar process in curing other things, but just apply that to eel?

I have never cured eel for bait..i just freeze them in a freezer bag, in water..
