.22 Hornet .22LR adaptor

Made an adaptor for the Hornet (1:8 Twist) just for a hoot, did not expect much of a result - bore is technically oversize for the 22LR.






How wrong one can be! Shoots well, so thought I'd give the SSS a pop - Wow!
Super grouping and no sideways stuff - will test properly at weekend if weather holds...

Managed a quick 10rds before wind kicked up, not sure if weather will be nice enough for extended range work this weekend. This is 25yds Aguilla SSS - no apparent tumbling.
