While Eric and Evan were sitting in the deer stand, I took 5 yr old Owen fishing. There are some moments in a guys life that are real special and this was one. I threaded a Red Wiggler on his hook about 2' under bobber. I told him, Owen when that bobber goes under, you reel as fast as you can as I set the drag pretty light. Then it happened....down went the bobber and Owen became a fisherman. I was tempted to help him but he didn't need it as he horsed the fish through the weeds and on to the bank. Wow, the 9 inch hybred weighed just 4 ounces under the Missouri Master Angler Award.....a star is born!

There should be some 2 pound crossbreds in that pond but they are hard to catch!
