Between my daughter and I, we had applications in for 18 hunts. Zero on all 18. My friend Grant put one in - zero.

I repeat, Alaska is in the top five places to fish in the country. It is in the bottom five for hunting.

Paul, I feel your pain. I applied for a Maine moose permit 20 times over the years. What a ripoff. :huh: I could have bought a moose farm for less.   ....Paul H

I assume that is a rhetorical question.

It's frustrating, but it doesn't preclude hunting, just hunting in specific places or times.

I can still shoot a bull moose (very small or very large) in my yard in season. I am just not allowed to shoot a cow in my yard.

Still no buffalo permit. 35 years of trying.
