1/2", first time in 15 years here any has stayed on the ground, also the first time it is fine textured and crunchy, more like what I saw when I was working at Casper.

I feel for ya Don, but after -11F last night and  (after settling) 16-18 inches of white stuff on the ground I don't feel much. Stay by the fire.

it has been a strange one indeed!!!! lowest temp so far this year was -38, we had a string of days above freezing, I think it even hit 44 once. that was laced with lots of rain. We had about 3ft of snow on the ground but the rain took over 2ft of it. Got all that snow on the ponds, which pushed the ice down and brought lots of water on the ice. Then the rain melted all the snow and all the water froze!! I had one frame about 8" underneath solid ice!!! had another that was sitting on top of the ice waiting to be put in and ended up being frozen within a foot of ice!!!!!

Balmy 26 Degrees Celsius here today Don, shorts and t-shirt weather.

We made it to 65' today, supposed to be over 70 tomorrow, then by Tuesday a high of 40 and a low of 25', quite a roller coaster.

Yep. 75 here today for the projected high.

Short lived though because we may have more cold and ice by Tuesday... South Texas actually has a winter this year. :)
