I decided to take the ruger single six off of gunbroker and just go get the Ruger today!! I am pleased at the looks of this pistol, hopefully it shoots ok. I got to reading in the book on the decocking lever and then started reading in the ammunition portion and it said the P94DC was chambered only for 9mm and the P944DC was for 40 cal. I started to panic a little but it does say 40 cal on my gun and has a clip for 40 cal ammo!!!! Apparently they don't put 944 on the gun and label it as a P94DC!!! I was not happy thinking I may have had a 9mm:undecided: I really don't like that caliber. I believe this .40 cal will be fun!! God Bless.

I see shouder holsters and various other hide 'em type holsters in your future

cosmetically, it's alot more appealing then the alternative you were considering. my opinion, of course.
 
i wonder if ruger replaced their p94 (p944) .40's with the new sr model .40's. not a bad looking handgun, in its own right. hmmmm. don't really need another .40 but ............

nice.  i had a p97 once a while back.  never a glitch from its stand point.  my problem with it was the mag release was situated right where my thumb hit and every once in a while the mag would drop about 1/16 inch and gun would not cycle.  being too old to change my grip i opted to trade for springfield xd45.  another plus was a 13 rd mag.

I hear ya Bob. this one has an ambidextrous clip release, but does not seem to be a problem with my grip!!! the clip does seem to hang out a little bit, but no feed problems yet!!! God Bless.
