I am thinking about rebarreling a p-14 enfield to 45-70. has anyone tried this or have any information?

Hi bigdean56, welcome to THL.

I have no experiance in your rebarreling project but may I ask why you have chosen the .45-70?
For one thing the boltface would need to be opened up for the larger rim. It would seem like a 458WM would be a more appropriate cartridge. You have probably heard it before but you could always load the .458WM down to 45-70 levels.
I'm not trying to put a damper on your project, I am keen to see how it all goes.
