Protect your flies!!!

Anyone here ever tried using strips of condom on their flies?  It makes a perfect skin on caddis larvae and worm imitations!  You get some interesting comments and questions ("they aren't used are they?"),  but I reckon they look far more realistic than any others out there.  I also have a sneaking suspicion it would be great on emergers as a trailing "shuck".  I plan on experimenting with that idea after work this arvo (providing I'm allowed to get away from housework for five minutes.

Be nicer than necessary.

Do it I reckon!!!  Condom ribbing (no pun intended),  and white goose biot make a great freshly hatched stonefly nymph or creeper imitation.
