Well, I hope everyone had a nice Christmas!  I was wondering if any of you had pet loads for 170grn cast bullets with a gas checks in a 30-30.    I'm looking for a good white tail load for my Son.  Thank you in advance troops!

I have good results with H4198, 26gr, 2100fps, BLC2, 34gr, 2100fps, H Varget, 31gr, 2050fps, no problems with my rifle, but be sure to start a few grains below these, in case you have a tight bore or chamber.
These loads are not max, but close.
