I thought that this rifle was kind of neat looking (and artfully set-up for the camera).  As it is in 500 Jeffery I reckon we can count it as an African rifle.

I wonder how take-down rifles are received by the PHs over there?

Hi Jay,

Take downs were especially popular during the Ship and train travel before airlines and Rigby's, H7H, Greeners etc would make them up to order. let's face it most of their rifles were made to order. Now there were several styles and types of take downs, Full thread, Interupped thread and even soem where the barrel remaind attached to the action and the stock just lifted off. Mannlicher 1903 carbines were offered in this format but only for export as takes downs were illegal in Germany/Austria.
Go Get them Floyd!
