I found this site on the web tonight and it had some wonderful pictures.  Soooo... I'm going to throw some up for you to enjoy and marvel at.  The first picture is of the rifle-slug combination.

A .457 caliber 425 grain slug!  I wonder what it's like to shoot this rifle.

Jay, looks like fun. I bet it would put  bump on a deer's head too.   ........Paul H

I'm curious... I wonder how do those guys get that 'air gun' to shoot those necessary 500 and 600 yard shots on critters like kudu? Must be pretty powerful 'air guns'...

theyre powerfull ok but the range is limited to less than half that range, the trajectory is almost rainbow like even at hundreds of foot pounds, pushing the weight of that slug, An English guy name of John Bowkett used to make high power pump guns twenty or so years ago, he made some beauties out to a hundred hundred and fifty yards they were great at dropping the mountain goats up Scotland ,really accurate too,and those things put out poundage  in the mid hundreds, shooting heavy 9mm lead bullets, the muzle blast was deafening.
