I'm glad you did what you did, Ron.

By the same token, state agents are not prepared financially or logistically to care for every abandoned baby animal that the public finds. If they tell you to "keep it", they have to tell everyone that calls to keep the ones they find. You might be surprised to find out that you did exactly what they hoped you'd do, they just couldn't say it officially.

On the other hand, they might have actually been the kind of mental midget that thinks "letting nature take its course" means watching an animal starve to death or get killed by feral dogs.

Send pictures when you visit it in July.

Yep.. I made it down to see the little guy, but with all the other little deer's running around I could not tell one from the other, it was a nice place, the people do take very good care of the animals they get, I'll give'm that...Ron
