For those of you with a cast iron liver and an eye for colour:
 
1 part Blue Curacao
1 part Gin
1 part lemon juice (the pure make your cheeks meet in the middle stuff - not cordial)
Several ice cubes
 
Chuck it all in a shaker,  and,  um,  shake it I guess!!!
 
To be uber classy,  rim your cocktail glass by running half a lemon around the rim,  and then dip in a saucer of castor sugar before straining the drink in.
 
 
If you know you're going crazy,  you can't be insane - so I guess if you know you drink too much you aren't an alcoholic!!!  Good logic in my books.  

In my drinking days I would have had to try that. I agree with your assessment of the philosophy
