Tell me about it. I have pre-approval from the wife to try and get to Omaha, Nebraska. Not quite northeast, but it's still awesome hunting area. Birds, deer, and everything. Just need to get a job....
As for putting in for permits, I have never tried for moose. I keep thinking I want to put in for Vermont, but never do. With my parents still living there, that'd be the place I'd probably put in for.
