love isn't the word for it. Adore would be the word I use!!! The only two things I would change about it are the drop down mag and the lack of a true half cok position on the bolt. Both only minor things though. The former has only been an issue once (takes a lot of effort to accidentally knock it out), and the latter is only an issue because it's what I was brought up on.
Aside from that, it is the lightest gun I have ever held - lighter
with scope attached than my .22
without one on. Very accurate (with the right ammo), virtually no kick as far as I'm concerned, and although it doesn't have the range of my old .270 - neither do my shakey arms!!!
Took me a while to accept that being a wooden stock, it's going to get battle scars. In the end though, they add character, at least it's ME putting them there, and bottom line is a gun is a gun, not an ornament.
